Captain Dan Stewart has been talking fishing ever since his first experience reeling in multiple walleye on the Detroit River and Lake St Clair. Growing up fishing this amazing water system with friends, he has come to learn these waters like no other. Captain Dan Stewart is a seasoned fishing guide and the owner of Michigan Walleye Fishing Charters, operating primarily on the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. With a passion for fishing that began in his youth, Captain Dan has extensive experience navigating Michigan’s waters. He holds a 25-ton U.S. Coast Guard license and has been guiding since 2014. Captain Dan is known for his friendly demeanor and patience, aiming to provide clients with memorable fishing experiences. He operates a 2022 Hewescraft Ocean Pro 220, a versatile boat suitable for the Great Lakes and inland waters, allowing him to follow fish migrations across the state. In addition to walleye fishing, Captain Dan offers charters targeting salmon and steelhead in Northwestern Michigan through his service, Chromeseekers Sportfishing. His guiding season is dynamic, starting with steelhead in the Northwest, moving to the Detroit River for walleye in mid-April, and following fish patterns throughout the year to provide optimal fishing opportunities for his clients. Beyond his fishing ventures, Captain Dan is also a realtor and land specialist in Benzie County and Northwestern Michigan, reflecting his deep connection to the region. Captain Dan’s dedication to providing exceptional fishing experiences and his extensive knowledge of Michigan’s waterways make him a sought-after guide for anglers of all levels. |
